Titlington Pike Trig Point
The trig point sitting on top of Titlington Pike (233m) near Eglingham.
This is the trig point sitting on top of the wonderfully names Titlington Pike (233m) near Eglingham.
Of all the trigs I have bagged so far this has probably the best views from the top, being able to see the Cheviots, the RRH Brizlee Wood Radome Golf Ball in Alnwick and the beautiful heather on the slopes.
The Titlington Pike trig point also has a lovely plaque in rememberance of three members of the local Brown family.
It's a relatively easy trig to get to and can be incorporated with a walk to Beanley Moor where you can take a detour to Jenny's Lantern Folly.
From the road it's around 1km to the trig point and the hill is not too steep, so maybe 15-20 minutes.
Just follow this map, or find it on OS Maps.
Follow the fingerpost and you will see Titlington Pike in front of you. Follow the fingerpost towards the hill and at the end take a right and then a sharp left thrugh a gate onto access land. Follow the trail to the trig point.

There is probably space to ditch your car on the grassy verge next to the fingerpost. Please do not block the gates.
