Saughy Hill

It's amazing how many hills you can tick off for the Cheviot 99 Challenge on a quick walk. Within a few kilometres of bagging Saughy Hill I could also grab Wholehope Knowe and Nettlehope Hill with just a few little diversions.

Easiest route is to park in Alwinton and then follow Clennell Street all the way up towards Kidland Forest. Then duck down the west side and then there is a little track taking you up towards Saughy Hill.

Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. Just over 6km and 365m ascent.

There is a big grassy area in the centre of the village outside the pub. Alternatively follow the road around 100m to a National Park car parking area with loos.
