Harbottle Trig Point

This is the trig point called Harbottle sitting on top of Cold Law (361m).

I had a wonderful idea to park at Harbottle Castle, head up to the Drake Stone and then have a gentle meander over the Harbottle Crags Nature Reserve to the trig point. With the depth of the heather and no clear path that was a horrendous idea.

The best way is probably the route I headed down and was to park at the entrance of the Otterburn Ranges and head up from the south. You just skirt the edges of the ranges, so always best to make sure it's not a firing day just in case.

Around 1.3km in total so around 20 minutes to the top all on permissive paths until you get to the open access land on Harbottle Crags Nature Reserve.
