Eggleston Moor Trig Point

This is the Eggleston Moor trig point (461m) near Middleton-in-Teesdale.

From the car, go through the gate and follow the track as it takes a sharp left, then right.

At the top of the track, turn right and follow the bridleway over the moorland.

At the point you are closest to the trig, turn left leaving the bridleway, walking over the heather until you reach the trig.

Note: You are unable to see the trig from the bridleway, so you need to use GPS, map/compass or feel confident with your location.

This route is 1.3km with 95m of ascent.
