The Cheviots

Comb Fell

Climb up 652m to bag Comb Fell in The Cheviots.

Comb Fell

Bring your wellies for this walk as Comb Fell is the boggiest place I have every visited in the Cheviots. Even on the sunniest of days it's still a bit damp.

Comb Fell joins The Cheviot and Hedgehope Hill and stands overlooking the Harthope Valley.

There is no easy way to get to Comb Fell, but the shortest and easiest way (without excessive climbing) is to park at Hartside near Ingram and head towards Linhope Spout before skirting Hedgehope Hill and ascending from there.

That will take you nearly 7km and 466m of climbing.

Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps.

If you fancy combining this with getting the two biggest hills out of the way, then follow this walk up the Cheviot and Hedgehope Hill.
