For just a short walk from Alwinton you can bag two hills and a trig point. Green Side is joined onto Lord's Seat so one you have grabbed that then it's just a little saunter over to the other.
At 395m above sea level, Green Side is a canny hill with lovely views toward Copper Snout. And as a bonus, if you are into your Northumberland trig bagging, then on top of Green Side is the Linbrig Trig Point.
If you're bagging Lords Seat first, then it's a simple amble over from there. Otherwise head west along the road from Alwinton for 2km and then north on a clear track all the way to the trig point at the top.
Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. Just over 3km and 239m of ascent.

There is a big grassy area in the centre of the village outside the pub. Alternatively follow the road around 100m to a National Park car parking area with loos.
