Ell's Knowe

Ell's Knowe is a hill in the Cheviots sitting 319m high in the College Valley.

I visited this heading east from the border ridge and you can see its prominence as you follow St. Cuthbert's Way right to its base.

To visit, park in the car park at Hethpool, walk north up the College Valley road and then turn west to follow St. Cuthbert's Way. You could yomp straight up the hill once you get past the farm buildings, however if you walk past Ell's Knowe there is a little track that winds its way around the back of the hill.
