If you are looking for somewhere to have a picnic with mega views surrounded by a standstone semi-circular escarpment then head up to Echo Crags near Byrness.

These crags sit above Catcleugh Reservoir and are over 350 million years old.

It's only 3.5km and 243m climbing, but it's pretty much all uphill
